Distant in thinking: In his interview with the atheist Eugenio Scálfari, Pope Francis made an attempt to find a common ground. Quote: “Do you think we are very far apart?” Scálfari basically said yes: “We are distant in our thinking, but similar as human beings, unconsciously animated by our instincts that turn into impulses, feelings and will, thought and reason. In this we are alike.”

The atheist feels the gap: The Pope then tried to talk Scálfari into having anonymous grace: “Even you, without knowing it, could be touched by grace.” Again, the atheist was little convinced: “Without faith? A non-believer?" he asked. The Pope responded: “Grace regards the soul”. Scalfari countered: “I do not believe in the soul.”

A solemn nonsense: When Scálfari said to the Pope that some of his friends believed that the Pope wanted to convert him, Francis answered: "Proselytism is solemn nonsense, it makes no sense. We need to get to know each other, listen to each other and improve our knowledge of the world around us.”

A question remains: When the Pope spoke about the Good, Scalfari asked: “Who decides what the Good is”. The Pope answered: "Each of us has a vision of good and of evil. We have to encourage people to move towards what they think is Good." Scalfari questioned: “Is the Church doing that?”

Bishops are often narcissists: In the Scalfari-interview the Pope also spoke about Narcissism, an excessive self-love – quote: “Most affected by narcissism are people who have a lot of power. Often bosses are narcissists.” He added: “Heads of the Church have often been narcissists, flattered and thrilled by their courtiers. The court is the leprosy of the papacy."

No need to "get" where the pope is coming from. He's proclaiming Christ. In his way and being very clever too. He's got everyone talking. And that leads to sincere answers to sincere questions. He's leading people on as a shepherd does to the source of truth. Long live Our Holy Father Francis

Gets better every time, Cannoli. I'd listen to Bocelli any-day before anything you'd hear at a Novus Ordo mess today, ..talk about secular!

Hey...nice look for Gloria tv News. Maybe it would be better for the pope to stop giving interviews.

"We have to encourage people to move towards what they think is Good." More ambiguity!

Biskupové jsou často narcisti: V Scalfari-rozhovoru Papež hovořil o Narcismus, nadměrné sebelásky - citát: "Většina postižených narcismu jsou lidé, kteří mají spoustu energie. . Často šéfové jsou narcisti "a dodal:" Hlavy církve byli často narcisti, lichotí a nadšeni svými dvořany. Soud je malomocenství papežství."
