No Charges: The Washington County attorney's office will not charge Father Jonathan Shelley after investigators determined that no illegal pornographic images were found on his computer. This case was investigated by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and favourably resolved in 2004. But police reopened the case last year when a former parishioner gave police files that he said he had copied from Shelley's hard drive about 10 years earlier.

Pope Francis has replaced cardinal Attilio Nicora who headed the Vatican financial watchdog agency with bishop Giorgio Corbellini associated with an earlier effort to foster reform. Corbellini is a friend of Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò who was ousted from the Vatican and appointed Nuncio in Washington, because he tried to reform the system and had a track record of cutting costs, imposing competitive bidding procedures, and creating a centralized system for procurement.

Four days after The Indianapolis Star broke a story about Latoya Ammons, a mother who told public officials she was possessed by demons, the Gary home in which she and her family once lived was purchased for 35,000 Dollars by Zak Bagans. He is host and executive producer of "Ghost Adventures" on the Travel Channel. Latoya’s tale spurred four exorcisms by Father Michael Maginot that arguably were the first authorized by the current bishop of the Catholic Church's Diocese of Gary.
