One should remove a picture of Pope Benedict XVI because he badly expressed about homosexuality (sodomy!)? If not some apostates will leave the church? I would have thrown them out of the church. Why is not enforced in such cases?

Walesa said in a television interview on Friday that he believed gay people had no right to sit on the front benches in parliament and, if there at all, should sit in the back "or even behind a wall".
"They have to know that they are a minority and adjust to smaller things, and not rise to the greatest heights," he told the private broadcaster TVN during a discussion of gay rights. "A minority should not impose itself on the majority."

Once it was explained to him, he said they were welcome to attend as long as their behavior was church-appropriate." He says that the idea that they would make such a decision, to ban drag queens, was "obnoxious and ridiculous."

Meanwhile the new Bishop of the archdiocese, the allegedly “conservative” Salvatore Cordileone says nothing but continues to snack on his Sicilian olives and imported provolone.
Why do these bishops let renegade priests get away with it?
For the same reason that the German bishops capitulated and now allow the morning-after abortive pill in Catholic hospitals. Bishops (and priests) cave in to pressure from the media. They do not want "bad" press and so they are willing to sacrifice principles for public approval. They have nothing to fear from an impotent Vatican so they can act or not act knowing that they will be exempt from punishment.
