It seems to be composed by the Swiss Dominican Father Charles Morerod, O.P., Secretary of the International Theological Commission, Dean of the Philosophical Faculty of the Angelicum; Fr. Karl Becker, S.I., German, a theologian who is close to the Pope and former professor at the Gregorian; and Mgr. Fernando Ocáriz (Opus Dei), Spaniard, professor at the Opus Dei university in Rome, and Vicar General of the Prelature.

Priest Betraying their Faith

In August this year 41 Catholic priests have been issued a formal warning by the Vatican for signing an open letter approving the removal of food and hydration of helpless patients like Eluana Englaro, lifesitenews.com reports. Five months ago, in a letter composed by Fr. Paolo Farinella of Genoa, the group complained that a living wills law being prepared by Prime Minister Berlusconi's government excluded the possibility that food and hydration could be withdrawn from patients by doctors to bring about their deaths.

Not-Catholic Catholic Universities

Dr. Anne Hendershott, a former faculty member at the University of San Diego has recently released her new book “Status Envy: the Politics of Higher Education” in which she explains that Catholic higher education is distancing itself from Catholic teaching in order to keep up with its secular counterparts. In a recent interview for the Catholic Transcript Hendershott revealed that during her time at the university, she was one of the few pro-life faculty members. She also mentioned that she did not attend a Catholic college as a student. “That’s how I stayed Catholic, and I didn’t let my children go to Catholic colleges."
