Consistory 2010: Washington, D.C. Returns a Visit to Rome.

WashArchdiocese Mar 21, 2011 Two years after Pope Benedict XVI brought the message of "Christ Our Hope" to Washington, DC, Cardinal Donald Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington, was elevated to the College of Cardinals by our Holy Father at the November 2010 Consistory at St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. Among the thousands of pilgrims who gathered in Rome to participate, pray and offer thanks on that joyful occasion were more than 400 people from the Washington, DC and Pittsburgh areas.

We invite you to experience your own visual pilgrimage and witness the Consistory events, including Cardinal Wuerl receiving his red biretta and his ring from Pope Benedict XVI. These and many other inspiring moments are accompanied by beautiful musical selections from the Choir of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception's CD album, Mosaic.
