The Christians are the biggest losers of the so called Arab Spring according to the Melkite Catholic archbishop Elias Chacour. Chacour is the Archbishop of Akko, Haifa, Nazareth and All Galilee. Vatican Insider quotes him: “Arab Spring is not the right term. This was no spring. It was a monumental bloodbath. So many died, but the biggest losers are the Christians.” He added: “I do not know why so many lost their lives in the Arab “Spring” – which was not a spring at all since it produced no fruits and new life was nowhere to be seen.”

The Archdiocese of New York has acknowledged that some local Catholic institutions offer health insurance plans that include contraceptive drugs to comply with state law, and that the archdiocese’s own money is used to pay for a union health plan that covers contraception and even abortion for workers at its affiliated nursing homes and clinics. Abbey-Roads.blogspot.com comments: “Isn't that just like lying - to say one thing and to do another? The Archdiocese pays for health care policies which offer contraception coverage to their Catholic employees - yet they condemn Obamacare as a threat to religious liberty?”

The scroll is part of a small collection of Hebrew manuscripts from the library of the Italian university. It was a rediscovery, Professor Mauro Perani, because the existence of this Torah scroll was already known. So far, experts have assumed, however, that the ancient document from the 17th Century came from.
Now, Prof. Perani - inter alia by radiocarbon in American Labo acids - found that this Torah scroll was probably from 1150 to 1225 written to and therefore much older than we thought.

The photograph used with Archbishop Chacour’s comments
on the “Arab Spring” shows the aftermath of a suicide bomb
attack in Pakistan. This attack occurred on 3 September 2010
in the city of Quetta. It was Muslim sectarian violence, with
Shia Muslims (10%) being killed by Sunni Muslims (90%).

Our Arab Christian brethren deserve military protection, but I think there is no political will to send in the Marines. They have a right to peaceful existence and life!
