This is truly great news for these Sisters. They were from the St. Paul's Shrine in Cleveland where Mother Angelica once lived. Most unfortunate was the modernization that crept into the St. Paul's Shrine there. A Pastor Paul Bernier use to try to refuse people communion because they knelt. Once having a conversation with a certain Sister there, I told her of our surprise and disappointment of having to watch the Sisters receive Communion in the hand and also distributing the Precious Blood to their own Sisters. The Communion host the priest would put into their hands. After awhile in conversation, she confided that they prefered to receive on the tongue but that the pastor told them, "your hands are cleaner than your tongues." She said out of obedience they continued to receive in the hands.
Mother Angelica surely would have had some choice words for that pastor!
As time went on, letters were sent to the bishop's office about the pastor's actions and his disobedience to the Holy Father.
So, this is really great news for them, they seem happy and in a place that they can truly live out their vocation. Deo Gratias! 👏 👏 👏
