Clean-Up: Yesterday the Polish bishops tried to clean up the confusion and division produced by the Synod on the Family. In an announcement addressed to the faithful in Poland, they fully confirmed Catholic doctrine as it was emphasized by Pope John Paul II. The bishops explicitaly stated that people who are divorced and remarried may not receive Holy Communion.

Chaput top: At the Synod on the Family the participants elected 12 members of the new synodal council of 15 members. They will accompany the Synod’s secretary until the next Synod of Bishops will take place. The prelate who received the most votes was Philadelphia archbishop Charles Chaput. The three remaining members will be named by Pope Francis.

Good Bishop: Philadelphia Archdiocese experiences a spike in ordinations under Archbishop Chaput. Already in Denver, where Chaput was before, the number of seminarians increased under him. The opposite happens in U.S. dioceses where Catholic bishops are followed by radical ones. In this case, the number of vocations immediately drops.

Old Mass: Last weekend, the association Coetus Internationalis Summorum Pontificum organized its fourth Old Rite pilgrimage to Rome. The president of Ecclesia Dei, Archbishop Pozzo, celebrated on Friday for the pilgrims in St. Peter's. On Saturday the celebrant was emeritus Argentinean Bishop Juan Rodolfo Laise. On Sunday, the abbot of Fontgombault celebrated Mass in the FSSP church Trinita dei Pellegrini.

I think we cannot make dead stones of the Word of God. We can use modern images and vocabulary for the Gospel, but should not make another doctrine. As Jesus taught that one can not fill new wine into old wineskins, because they tear otherwise (Matthew 9,17), he had used images and concepts of that time.
It´s the same if a computer is supposed to work it needs a new hardware, so that it can implement a new software. Otherwise it can not implement the new potential.
We need to be reborn of the Word of God for to be baptized with the Holy Spirit.
Without that we are a new creation, we can not enter the Kingdom of God. A man who does not accept the Word of God and live without repantance, can not return to the Father. He will remain dead for the Father until he repents for his mistake.
