I've seen the movie too, it is wonderful! And Fr. Barron is wonderful as well, he can explain everything so clearly and simply, God really has given him a precious gift of a clear mind, and the ability to put his thought to words. Here about waiting, and how we have to learn to wait - something our culture does not appriciate. And how we have a wonderful chance to do it in the car, when stuck in traffic! I love his excamples, how he finds a chance to live out the faith in our everyday life; such as traffic jams! Who could have thought of something like that, other than Fr. Barron!
I live in such a tiny one-dog-town, where getting stuck in traffic is literally impossible, but Fr. Barron gave me the idea, and I have gone through my everyday chores, to find such moments. I did find one: On our farm I prepare the meals for my husband on the regular basis. When I'm waiting for "the potatoes to cook, and my husband to come in", I usually jsut sit and wait, impatiently. I realized, after listening to Fr. Barron, that here we have a great opportunity! Fr. Barron wanted us to realize, that religion doesn't need a special, planned-ahead moment, in order to pray "correctly"; although such moments are wonderful and holy. However, what Fr. Barron wants us to see, is that we can LEARN to sieze the moment, and talk to God at any place, at any time. All that WE need is some time and patience, God will do the rest, if we let him!
