Publicity Stunt: Pope Francis has picked Kia Motors’ Soul compact car as his limo throughout his five-day visit to South Korea. He initially asked to ride in the “smallest car in Korea”. Upon his request, several compacts such as Kia Motors’ Morning and Ray and GM Korea’s Chevrolet Spark were cited as possible candidates. But due to safety issues, the pope’s final choice was the Kia Soul. Its starting sticker price stands at 14,100 Dollars. Industry watchers predicted that Kia would have the chance to raise its brand awareness during the Pope’s visit. Contrary to lukewarm domestic sales, the Kia Soul is enjoying much popularity in overseas markets.

One Sin Calls For Another: Practicing Christians who support “homosex marriage” are much more likely to approve of other sins like commitment-free sexual relations, pornography, adultery, polyamory, and abortion than other churchgoers, says University of Texas sociology professor Mark Regnerus. He added that homosexual Christians are “not as permissive” as those who are non-Christians, but are – quote - “still well above the national average in permissiveness.”

Only the Truth Matters: Swedish mega-church pastor Ulf Ekman has explained in the Catholic Herald how he and his wife became Catholics last May. Quote: “For us, truth was the very thing that mattered.” For Ekman Evangelical love of Scripture or Charismatic life, with its emphasis of the power and the leading of the Holy Spirit is necessary, and it is an amazing gift. But – Quote - “it cannot be lived out in its fullness in a schismatic and overly individualistic environment.”

Nightmare Over: Two months after the police seized a computer from St. Patrick’s parish in Caledonia, Ontario, looking for child porn, police have returned the computer and closed the investigation. St. Patrick’s pastor Fr. Mario Fernandes lived and ministered under a cloud for two months during the investigation. “It was very stressful,” Fr Fernandes told The Catholic Register. Quote: “My prayer life and the support of the parishioners helped me go through this, and I pray nobody (else) has to go through this.”
