The icon of the Nativity (13 min)
The writer recalls in front of our eyes a complete image of the event of the Divine Nativity. Hence, it becomes easier to contemplate the greatness of the Mystery of Incarnation. The icon is built on an ascending rock almost reaching the heaven. This rock reminds us of that from which spring water flowed after Moses had struck it with his staff. By cracking even its rocks, the Earth, full of joy, accepts the gift of birth of its Creator.
