Scott Lemieux, an assistant professor of Political Science at College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York, has argued that the grizzly case of Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell calls for greater access to abortion. The College of Saint Rose is sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet. Earlier this week, Gosnell was found guilty of murdering three babies born alive at his abortion-mill. According to cardinalnewmansociety.org., Lemieux wrote: “The best way to prevent future Gosnells is to treat pre-viability abortions like the ordinary, safe medical procedures they, in fact, are and not to engage in sexist moralizing.” Gloria.tv wants to add that 9 of the 12 jurors that convicted Gosnel identified themselves as being “pro-choice.” Were those pro-death jurors also guilty of “sexist moralizing”?

St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Wimbledon, south London, has invited the gay rights pressure group Stonewall to give staff lessons to prevent – quote - “homophobic bullying”, writes the Catholic Herald. A source close to the school claimed the training day was arranged after one pupil called another boy’s shoes “gay”. Antonia Tully, national co-ordinator of the Safe at School campaign, commented: “Many parents will be very concerned that a gay rights organisation is considered to be an appropriate source of advice on how to deal with children using inappropriate language in the playground.” A Stonewall activist said that the group was already welcomed in about half a dozen Catholic primary schools. Gloria.tv wonders if similar problems would arise, when one student would call another student's shoes “heterosexual”?

Fr Ray Blake writes on his blog about a discussion with a group of priests where the need for evangelisation was brought up. The group realised that most parishes and dioceses have no plan to evangelise, only to manage decline – quote: “Yes, we will carry on our parish catechetical programmes, doing what we have always done, the problem is that what we have always done doesn't really work. If it is done well it leads to gradual decline, if it is done badly the decline is faster.” Father’s conclusion: The Church today, especially bishops and priests need a good dose of the supernatural, our cunning plans over the last half century seem to underplay that.

Aciprensa.com has reported that the Paraguayan priest Oscar Benítez Caballero has been arrested on abuse charges. On the evening of May 13th the priest was called by a 17 year-old girl and convinced her not to commit suicide. But, on the same night, he was accused by the girl’s mother of raping her daughter. In the mean-time, the diocese of Ciudad del Este has confirmed that the priest’s assurance of his innocence was corroborated by the girl in front of the police. The girl also thanked the priest for having saved her life.

Stonewall are bullies! Why would you invite an infamous unrepentant bully to teach others about bullying? Do want to teach children how to bully properly, is that it?

Because the main speaker was the late Cardinal Winning from Glasgow, Scotland whom they hate as he we very pro-life, and argued against teaching children about homosexuality in schools. God bless the deceased Cardinal Winning.
They attempt to silence those who disagree with them and attempt to defeat freedom of speech. That is not the behaviour I would associate with an anti-bully group.
