The ensemble Voix Fort Cleres worked to prepare this piece for the better part of half a year, building a deeper understanding of the rhythmic complexities and attempting to solve the problems in musica ficta. Other performances from parts of the mass were given in the Athens area, and at the University of Georgia.

Because of the special conditions which obtained at St. Stephen's church the day of the performance, Director David Schiller elected to perform the Agnus Dei with the pitch set a whole step higher.
