No Thanks: The association Panambí, which represents so-called transvestites, transsexuals and transgender who promote mortal sin in Paraguay has refused an invitation of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference to participate in a meeting with Pope Francis together with other groups. In its reply Panambí asked that laicism and human rights are respected and that the Church – quote – “stops interfering in matters of the state”. Pope Francis will be in Paraguay from July 10th to 12th.
Why? Although gay pseudo-marriage is now legal in the U.S., don’t expect to see long lines of homosexuals applying for marriage licenses – writes Protestant theologian David Murray on his blog. He gives the example of the Netherlands where same-sex pseudo-marriage has been legal for the past ten years. But not even 8% of self-declared homosex-people in the country have chosen to marry.
