I have always liked watching wildlife at home and abroad, and this short video features a number of interesting small birds.
If a bird nests under roof eaves and its head looks like an approaching killer whale (black topside, white underside) you are looking at a House Martin.
If a bird nests on rafters or ledges, with a head that has a top and under flash of blood orange, and distinctive tail streamers, you are looking at an adult Swallow.
There are two small birds standing on the parapet whose family and species I cannot readily identify (00:43).
A glimpse is seen of a Sand Martin (01:01) with its brown back and neck band, and off-white underside.
The video also briefly features a Swift (01:09) with its black body, forked tail and double length wings (screams whilst flying fast).
A White Wagtail (01:14) is seen standing on a roof ridge with its black head cap, large white face and short black bib (should wag tail, perhaps it's resting).
If you ever want to do a Saint Francis of Assisi in the countryside, remain still and rustle some car keys. The small birds will come very close, as they are attracted to high frequency sounds.
Thank you Tina for taking the time to show God's wonderful creation in this video and other videos.
