Ten years ago, in The Great Façade, my co-author and I explored the curious inconsistency of neo-Catholic commentators who defend the disastrous liturgical and pastoral novelties of the past forty years as if they were dogmatic pronouncements, while blithely disparaging the solemn teaching of great Popes perceived to be at odds with the “updating” of the Church at Vatican II.
Typical of these people is Alan Schreck, a professor of theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville.

People have also forgotten the supreme right and authority of Christ to reign, even in society. They have been so busy being ecumenical that they forgot what compromising with the devil leads to: if you lean over hell halfway, the devil will push you in the rest of the way.

People have also forgotten the supreme right and authority of Christ to reign, even in society. They have been so busy being ecumenical that they forgot what compromising with the devil leads to: if you lean over hell halfway, the devil will push you in the rest of the way.
Our Lord IS Lord, and they cannot take His reign from Him, neither in the Church, NOR in the state! People need to remember, outside of God, there is only sin and death. If your state doesn't belong to God, there's only one other person you can give it to: the devil!
