Necessary Corrections: In 1972 Joseph Ratzinger claimed in an article that the divorced and remarried should be allowed to receive Communion under certain conditions. The article has now been republished in the fourth volume of the collected works of Joseph Ratzinger. But Benedict XVI has corrected the article. The controversial part that remarried divorcees should receive Holy Communion was cancelled. Instead, Benedict wants to accelerate the annulment process.
