Bill Maher: Jesus Christ Was a ‘Palestinian’ Who Did ‘Magic Tricks’
Christians the world over are going to be thrilled to know that Jesus was a Palestinian.
At least that's what HBO's Bill Maher told CNN's Piers Morgan Monday evening in a discussion about Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow (video follows with transcript and commentary):
The reality is the first known usage of the term "Palestinian" dates to some time in the 19th century well after Christ's time.
Of course, Maher sticking to the facts is about as likely as him denouncing his pot habit.
Speaking of which, he probably meant to say Galilean but was so stoned he got the two terms mixed up.
But the best joke of all regarding this matter is that this gaffe on his part came just a few hours after MSNBC's Chris Matthews (another idiot) called him "the funniest, smartest guy around."
Unlike the stock market, what passes for wit and intellect in the liberal media hasn't recovered since the 2008 economic collapse. Link Video …More
