Dr James MacMillan talk to the Gregorian Chant Network, Saturday 18th February 2012.
The Gregorian Chant Network was founded in 2010 to promote Gregorian Chant in England and Wales and Scotland. It is an umbrella organisation, supported by a number of established organisations which promote chant, including the Latin Mass Society, and has Catholic choirs and scholas singing Chant affiliated to it. As well as a biennial meeting, it organises a number of Chant training events in different parts of the country.

Lead up to the Sanctus.
This video is designed to show choirs when to sing the Sanctus at the Traditional Mass (the Missal of 1962, Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite).
The priest has sung the Preface, and there is a sung dialogue between the priest and the congregation (led by the schola), before the schola sings the Sanctus. A Chant Sanctus and Benedictus is sung in full, without a break; a polyphonic Sanctus is separated from the Benedictus, which is sung after the Consecration of the Chalice.
The tone used for the dialogue is the 'Most Solemn Tone' (Tonus Solemnior), which is appropriate for solemn occasions. It can be found in the Liber Usualis p110. The Sanctus sung here is from Mass IV.

Hi Joe! 🤗 I do beg your pardon, but permit me to answer the post below, with the following reply:
According to the Missal of 1962 (the Extraordinary Form of Holy Mass), At High Mass, the Pater Noster is recited by the Priest. The proper response to this is offered by the acolytes and/or the Choir: Sed libera nos a malo. In a so called 'dialogue Mass' the people may respond as well.
