Mercy is “a kind or forgiving attitude towards somebody that you have the power to harm or right to punish”. Divine Mercy is, therefore, God’s kind or forgiving attitude towards us who deserve His punishment as a result of our sins. Pope Francis puts it this way: Divine Mercy is “the ultimate and supreme act by which God comes to meet us.” It is “the bridge that connects God and man, opening our hearts to the hope of being loved forever despite our sinfulness”.

A big Thumbs Up for another patient, panel-by-panel refutation of notorious heresiarch Jack Chick. As an American, I recognize Mr. Chick's constitutional right to publish his misinformation and outright lies about The Blessed Mother and the Church, all in the name of free speech. As a Catholic, there's a small, very outraged piece of my heart that wonders if, maybe... just maybe the Inquisition didn't actually have the right idea when they used to burn foul blasphemers like Jack Chick at the stake.

THEME: NO CROSS, NO CROWN READINGS:Isaiah 50:4-7/ Philippians 2: 6-11/ Luke 22:14-23:56. Palm Sunday The Palm Sunday celebration begins with the joyful triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. It then continues with the passion narrative of His arrest, suffering and crucifixion. Whereas in the Lord’s triumphant entry, He was greeted with cheers of “Hosanna … hosanna”, in His passion, He received jeers of “crucify Him …crucify Him”. His crucifixion, however, was not the end of His story; for He arose on the third day. The fact that the resurrection of Jesus followed His humiliating death on the cross could be succinctly stated as, “no cross, no crown (NCNC)”.
