Pope Leo XIV met at the Vatican with Prince Albert II of Monaco Pope Leo XIV received Prince Albert II of Monaco at the Vatican on Saturday. The Principality of Monaco is one of the few constitutionally Catholic countries in Europe and in the world, and in 2025, citing his Catholic faith, the Prince refused to sign a pro-abortion law in his country. During their meeting, they briefly discussed the good relations between the Holy See and Monaco, as well as shared concerns such as peace, humanitarian assistance, and the promotion of human dignity. The French actress and sex symbol of the 1960s, Brigitte Bardot, aged 91, was laid to rest on 7 January after a funeral Eucharist in Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera. Celebrated by the parish priest, the Novus Ordo service included mostly profane music, such as the score of Contempt, the 1963 Jean-Luc Godard film in which Bardot starred. On 17 January, Jeanne Smits published an obituary on LifeSiteNews.com, correcting journalists who had one-sidedly referred to a 2024 interview in which Bardot described herself as a 'traditionalist', recalling the Mass of her childhood. Denying Eternal Life Bardot was not a practising Catholic. Although she called herself a believer, she wrote in her 2018 autobiography Larmes de combat (Tears of Battle): "It's the afterlife that's awful; what the body becomes is dirty. I don’t know if life after death exists. I don't know, and I don't necessarily hope that it does. What kind of mess could await us on the other side? We might as well sleep. Forever..." …More
This is a tragedy. She grew up when the red-hot liberals were sneaking out of their demonic spaces and began invading the mainstream church. I am sure that many in her age group abandoned the church and have never come back.
Baby Ramsey was declared clinically dead at birth — no signs of life, unresponsive to medical intervention. Then Father John performed an emergency baptism. And she moved her tiny body for the first time. When medicine had no answers, God did. Watch.

John-Henry Westen is joined again by financial expert Drew Mason of Saint Joseph Partners, who explains why silver and gold are entering a once-in-a-generation moment. Drew Mason breaks down how surging global debt, inflation, and sovereign instability are driving precious metals to record highs, and why major institutions are now rushing to increase their allocations while physical supply remains critically tight. Beyond the charts, Mason emphasizes that gold and silver are not just investments; they are protection for families in times of economic uncertainty, safeguarding wealth when traditional assets fail. He also frames financial stewardship as a spiritual issue, rooted in Scripture and inseparable from the broader spiritual battle of our times.
Our faith is disappearing. And the Russian Orthodox are growing in theirs. While our Church's are desecrated, Russia will not tolerate it. With any religious faith based church and even mosques. They live side by side and help one another. While our Church's are being sold off to muslims. They keep building more in Russia. While the world fights one another, and inside their own countries, Russia helps and protects each other. A mosque on one side, and across the way an Orthodox Church. Russia keeps her faith while most of our Church's are prot/Catholic. More prot than Catholic actually. You will never see any ROC with anything of the no mess we have. It is forbidden in Russia. And what Catholic can stand on their feet for 5 to 7 hours straight? Some people need to get out of the way back machine they are stuck in. Worse, they don't care about the truth. They refuse to see, listen or read anything about Russia today.
Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Unhappiness Jan. 14, 2026 nytimes.com/2026/01/14/opinion/america-quality- … By Nicholas Kristof Opinion Columnist We Americans like to boast, “We’re No. 1,” and we certainly are in our military capacity to invade other countries and abduct odious foreign leaders. But in the well-being of ordinary citizens? A careful study released Wednesday and based on a measure called the Social Progress Index suggests that in terms of quality of life, the United States ranks 32nd out of 171 countries, behind Poland, Lithuania and Cyprus. More alarming, the United States has fallen steadily in the rankings over the years, under Republican and Democratic presidents alike — and now seems poised to fall further because of cuts in health care and other services by President Trump. The Social Progress Index was introduced in the 2010s by a high-powered team of scholars and experts. The United States ranked 18th in 2011, and while that was troubling, we were still ahead …More
