Ice Age Farmer @iceagefarmer Mercuria shipping head says fuel shortages could idle 10% of global fleet This would trigger immediate and severe breakdowns in global supply chains, as container ships, tankers, and bulk carriers sit idle, halting the movement of food, fertilizer, fuel, and critical imports that modern economies depend on. "The shipping sector is fast approaching afuel crisis that could paralyze a tenth of the global fleet, Larry Johnson, global head of freight at commodities trading house Mercuria, said in an interview. Since the Middle East war erupted, markets have been preoccupied with potential shortfalls in the diesel and jet fuel traditionally exported in large quantities from the Persian Gulf. However, as refiners strain to capture soaring clean product cracks, residual fuels have suffered. Increasingly, feedstocks have been held back from the marine fuel market to kept for further processing, leaving the shipping sector at risk of crippling shortages, Johnson said. …More
Metropolitan Hilarion Alfeyev, 59, once one of the most influential figures in the Russian Orthodox community, has been reassigned to Brazil following a drug-related investigation in the Czech Republic. The Moscow Patriarchate announced that he will serve two Russian Orthodox parishes in southern Brazil. He could no longer continue his ministry in Europe for "objective reasons." Hilarion had already been removed from his position of leadership in the Russian Orthodox community in 2024, after a former male assistant accused him of homosexual misconduct. Pictures revealed that he had been living a lavish lifestyle, including hoarding money and property. The recent move follows Hilarion's detention by Czech police in late May. Acting on an anonymous tip, officers reportedly found four containers of white powder in the trunk of his car. Authorities later confirmed the substance was cocaine. Hilarion was held for two days before being released without charges and returning to Russia. Czech …More
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 12,38-44. In the course of his teaching Jesus said, "Beware of the scribes, who like to go around in long robes and accept greetings in the marketplaces, seats of honor in synagogues, and places of honor at banquets. They devour the houses of widows and, as a pretext, recite lengthy prayers. They will receive a very severe condemnation." He sat down opposite the treasury and observed how the crowd put money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums. A poor widow also came and put in two small coins worth a few cents. Calling his disciples to himself, he said to them, "Amen, I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the other contributors to the treasury. For they have all contributed from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has contributed all she had, her whole livelihood." angelyelina

This is Father Victor and the pilgrims. I don't have to leave the link to his site because I took everything plus from it. Make sure you check out President Putin with the French family! President Putin with the French family at the awards. Pilgrims from France in Kazan Last week, Kazan was visited by French pilgrims who began their journey on foot in 2021 from Fatima (Portugal) to Moscow's Red Square with the aim of consecrating Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and fulfilling the Fatima prophecy. Throughout the entire journey, the pilgrims carried a statue of Our Lady of Fatima, which now remains in Russia. Upon completing one of the most difficult pilgrimages of the 21st century, its Pilgrims' route: after the events that began in 2022, the border between Finland and Russia was closed. Therefore, it was necessary to go to Russia through the Baltic countries. I never knew that the families that were not born in Russia were eligible to receive the award. Maybe Putin also changed …More
St. Peter of Verona's Final Witness | A Word of Hope for Thursday, June 4 Join Brother Joe Trout for today's powerful reflection on the first Dominican martyr, St. Peter of Verona (Peter Martyr), and the profound question: If you knew your next words and actions would be your last, what would they be? St. Peter of Verona's final moments reveal the depth of a life lived in faith. Struck down in the 13th century, his last words echoed Christ's own: "Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit." Then, with his own blood, he wrote "Credo" - the Creed - on the ground, testifying not to himself but to the God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Brother Joe explores how Peter's spontaneous final act wasn't planned but flowed naturally from who he had become through his entire life of faith. Like St. Paul in his second letter to Timothy, Peter pointed not to his own goodness but to God's saving work. This reflection challenges us to consider: How does our daily life prepare us for our final …More
June 5 Saint Boniface. by irapuato on June 5, 2014 Apostle ofGermany, date of birth unknown; martyred 5 June, 755 (754); emblems: the oak, axe, book, fox, scourge, fountain, raven, sword. He was a native of England, though some authorities have claimed him for Ireland or Scotland. The place of his birth is not known, though it was probably the south-western part of Wessex. Crediton (Kirton) in Devonshire is given by more modern authors. The same uncertainty exists in regard to the year of his birth. It seems, however, safe to say that he was not born before 672 or 675, or as late as 680. Descended from a noble family, from his earliest years he showed great ability and received a religious education. His parents intended him for secular pursuits, but, inspired with higher ideals by missionary monks who visited his home, Winfrid felt himself called to a religious state. After much difficulty he obtained his father's permission and went to the monastery of Adescancastre on the …More

Bill C-9 has passed Canada's Senate and could soon become law. This legislation would remove key protections for religious speech and could criminalize Bible-based teachings such as the evilness of homosexuality. However, a separate amendment that would have criminalised the denial of propaganda concerning residential schools was ultimately rejected by the Senate.
There was an amendment before Canada's Senate to make residential school denialism a crime. The legislation is Bill C-9, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (hate propaganda, hate crime and access to religious or cultural places). One of our readers said the change is "childish. This is his message to Canada's senators: Bill C-9 reminds me of the mean games and petulant accusations that children in school yard playgrounds use to manipulate each other: "I'm changing the rules!" "You can't say that! You hate me!" Bill C-9 seems to want to regulate people's thoughts, their speech, and their emotions, not their physical actions. But who will determine what constitutes "detestation" or "vilification"? A person who doesn't like what you or I believe or say? Who will determine how to interpret words that are subjective and sometimes self-serving? With this in mind, I urge you to defeat Bill C-9 when voting time comes in the Senate. God bless. The senators must have listened. The good news is …
The news is not good; they are passing that law, and also another, which puts one in mind of the Zionists: it will become law that anyone who dares deny that the residential schools caused great harm; abused and murdered children will be liable to arrest and may be sentenced to two years in prison!!!
I feel very sorry for you. Did you know the first State to pass laws curtailing freedom of speech, specifically antisemitism, was the Soviet? We have a long history in the States of having laws framed by the ADL, a communist organization, that aim to practically make every perversion legal. And then they pass a law saying it is antisemitic! Honestly it is just the continuation of the "Errors of Russia."
Has anyone seen this movie yet? I would like to watch it but I have been disappointed with religious movies for years now. Would you let me and others know if it is worth it or not? Thank you and GOD Bless you.
