Mexican Bishop Hops Left and Right Before the Altar: Bishop José Leopoldo González González, 71, of San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico, hopped and danced in liturgical vestments, including his mitre, during Emaús 2026. The diocesan gathering brought together more than 5,000 young Catholics on 23–24 May in San Miguel el Alto, Jalisco. González explained that a young man had told him the dance was simple—“one step to the right and another to the left” - and joked that he had “fallen into the trap.”
During Emaús 2026 in San Miguel el Alto, Bishop José Leopoldo González González drew attention for his energetic participation with young people during the activities and Mass.

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 14,22-33. After he had fed the people, Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and precede him to the other side of the sea, while he dismissed the crowds. After doing so, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When it was evening he was there alone. Meanwhile the boat, already a few miles offshore, was being tossed about by the waves, for the wind was against it. During the fourth watch of the night, he came toward them, walking on the sea. When the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were terrified. "It is a ghost," they said, and they cried out in fear. At once (Jesus) spoke to them, "Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid." Peter said to him in reply, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." He said, "Come." Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water toward Jesus. But when he saw how (strong) the wind was he became frightened; and, beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!" …More
– Folha de S. Paulo, June 4, 1984 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira Our great, beautiful, and beloved Brazil. These are just a few of the adjectives that — though deserved — have become worn out from constant use. Far more accurate and genuine to our reality would be to describe this country as indecipherable, for it truly is in more than one way. Today, I will focus on just one of those ways. Imagine, dear reader, a farmer living with his family in a spacious house, surrounded by the wide-open spaces that make up the rural property. Wide indeed, stretching as far as the eye can see. It so happens that the family has grown considerably, and there is no longer enough room in the big house for the farmer’s offspring. Quarrels erupt on every side. Some wish to enlarge the cramped corners they occupy and, to justify this, argue that the house is, in a sense, a common asset belonging to the entire family. They bellow, with the metallic insistence of busybodies, a handful of clichés about the …More

Monsignor Stricklan asks: You who are Catholic: Have you ever heard the word Modernism? Si hablas Español puedes leer una traducción en nuestro Blog: ¿Has oído alguna vez la palabra Modernismo?
The Church has been decimated, as the late great Fr Meuli told us “You can no longer rely on the Church, its every man for himself.” Vatican II proclaimed no “Anathema” you’re ok and I am ok!

Does Iran know how low we are on everything? The danger we are in with oil reserves at the danger point and how low we are on weapons? Where are they on Ukraine and Russia? 19th Sunday – OT – A - Second Reading - Romans 9:1–5 - I could wish that I were accursed Letter to the Romans 9,1-5. Brothers and Sisters: I speak the truth in Christ, I do not lie; my conscience joins with the holy Spirit in bearing me witness that I have great sorrow and constant anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed and separated from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kin according to the flesh. They are Israelites; theirs the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; theirs the patriarchs, and from them, according to the flesh, is the Messiah. God who is over all be blessed forever. Amen. denicemay
Amen.
On August 6, Pope Leo XIV appointed 15 new consultors to the Dicastery for Religious, headed by Prefect Sr Simona Brambilla. The new consultors comprise two bishops (Alfonso Vincenzo Amarante and Kevin Otieno Mwandha), five priests, including one abbot (Ignasi Fossas, Damián Astigueta, Maurizio Bevilacqua, Benjamin Earl and Flavien Mambueni), two religious brothers (Antoine Kazindu and Emili Turú), and six religious sisters (Chiara Lorenzato, Maria Nirmalini, María Rosaura González Casas, Mary Lembo, Patricia Murray and Maria do Disterro Rocha Santos). Leo XIV has again appointed liberal, synodal figures, illustrated by these four personnel choices. Less Uniformity in Liturgy, More Creativity Indian Sister Maria Nirmalini, A.C. was a member of the Synod on Synodality (2023) and hoped for “liturgical reform, particularly of the Mass with less emphasis on uniformity and more on creativity.” In the same VaticanNews.va interview she demanded “inclusion of women in all leadership/decision …More
Feast day of St. Philomena - August 11th. ~ Feast day of The Assumption - August 15th; declared an infallible dogma by Pope Pius X11 in 1950 through 'Munificentissimus.Deus'. ~ (The most bountiful God.)
Sadly, most Catholics are now "Conciliar Catholics." And since Conciliarism is an ever-evolving religion its tenets are constantly being updated. But make no mistake, Conciliarism is Satanically driven and Satan's ultimate goal is to destroy the Catholic Church. Faithful Catholics know that will never happen, but the authentic Catholic Church will suffer greatly as Rome moves further away from the truth through Synodality. And while the role of the SSPX is still unclear to many, all should recognize that it is the only priestly organization celebrating the TLM that adheres exclusively to the authentic teachings that pre-dated Vatican II. The most revealing clue as to its legitimacy, however, is that the SSPX is the only priestly organization that the Conciliarists in Rome regularly attack and work to destroy. There are relatively few Catholics who assist at the SSPX Masses, but as Jesus told us, when He returns He expects to find very few who have not loss their faith.
Stop Negotiating and Get the Job Done: American approaches to war for the last 70 years have been characterized by a normalcy bias that war conduct should be guided by the goal of reaching negotiated compromise outcomes rather than achieving victory and total defeat of the enemy.
Bishop Raúl Vera: Homosexuality is a natural phenomenon; it is neither a human perversion nor a disease. It is a condition with which a person is born, and one that we must respect and promote. Visit our Blog: pagina-catolica.blogspot.com
Homosexuality is a mental disease, just any other, kleptomania, psychopathy etc. The inclinations as such are not sinful, but acting upon is. St.Paul surely was not wrong. The good bishop ought to read the bible more often and not the homo propaganda.
Bishop Strickland about modernism within the Church of Leo XIV My dear friends in Christ, Thank you for joining me today. There are some words that once occupied a central place in the life of the Catholic Church but are now seldom heard, and I want to talk about one of those words today. The word is “modernism.” Ask the average Catholic today what modernism is, and many will not know how to answer. Ask when they last heard a sermon about it, and many would say, “Never.” Yet there was a time when the Church regarded modernism as such a grave danger that Pope St. Pius X devoted an entire encyclical to exposing it. In 1907, in Pascendi Dominici Gregis, he called modernism “the synthesis of all heresies.” Those are extraordinary words. Popes do not use language like that lightly. If St. Pius X believed modernism was the synthesis of all heresies, then a question naturally follows: What happened? Did modernism simply disappear? Or have we reached a point where the Church’s own warnings …More
Serbia's Giant Cross Is Inspiring the World Again | Shalom World News At the entrance to the Serbian city of Kragujevac, every road seems to lead to the Cross. Rising 18 meters into the sky, the St. George's Day Cross (Đurđevdanski Krst) has stood for more than 15 years as a powerful reminder that Christ remains at the heart of a nation shaped by faith. Designed by Serbian sculptor Zoran Ilić and consecrated in 2010 by the Serbian Orthodox Church, the monument bears a striking six-meter relief of Christ's Crucifixion on one side and an image of St. George on the other. This year, the Cross was lovingly restored after the Eparchy of Šumadija initiated conservation work to preserve one of Serbia's most recognizable Christian landmarks. The restoration included cleaning the monument, repairing damaged sculptural elements, renewing the gilded halos and protecting it for generations to come. For the people of Kragujevac, this is more than a monument. It is part of everyday life. Locals simply …More
