A New Mass in Paris: Starting on the first Sunday of Advent, November 30, Holy Mass will be celebrated every Sunday (except 28 December, 1 March, 26 April and during the month of August) in the beautiful Church of Our Lady of the Nativity of Val-de-Grâce in the heart of Paris. The 8.30pm start time is convenient for young people and those returning from the provinces. The church belongs to the Military Diocese, not the Archdiocese of Paris. The celebrant will be Canon Jérôme Maljean. Since the controversial document ‘Traditionis Custodes’, Archbishop Laurent Ulrich of Paris has banned eight regular Holy Masses around the city.
On November 5, Mark Miravalle, professor emeritus of theology and mariology at Franciscan University of Steubenville and president of the International Marian Association, responded on MotherOfAllPeoples.com to Tucho’s November 4 document Mater Populi Fidelis which attacks Marian titles common in the Catholic Church. The use of the title "Co-Redemptrix" Tucho stated that the title "Co-Redemptrix" is "not appropriate," despite its historical use by numerous popes. Miravalle questions whether this implies that past popes and many saints used an improper title. Tucho's document concludes that the title is allegedly "inappropriate" due to the need to often "re-explain" it. Miravalle comments: "Other Marian titles, such as 'Immaculate Conception' and 'Mother of God,' have likewise required ongoing explanation and re-explanation. Yet these titles remain, as do other Catholic dogmas, such as 'Papal Infallibility,' 'Original Sin,' and 'Transubstantiation.'" Our Lady as Mediatrix of All Graces …More
"May the full synodal process championed by Pope Leo and the Holy See be genuinely and comprehensively implemented in guiding the Church's discernment on this quintessential Marian subject." A "synodal proces" is by definition unable to discern the appropriateness of a dogma. A dogma is a definitive, absolute and infallible proclamation of the Church, while "synodality" excludes precisely that. The only correct response of the faithful to Mater Populi Fidelis is to reject this errant teaching authority.
Pope Leo Receives Palestinian President Abbas at Vatican | Shalom World News Pope Leo XIV met with Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas on Thursday, November 5, for the first time since his election, discussing the urgent need to assist civilians in Gaza and to renew efforts toward a two-state solution. The Vatican described the encounter as “cordial,” noting that both leaders emphasized the need to put an end to the ongoing humanitarian crisis following two years of war between Hamas and Israel, which erupted after the October 7, 2023, attacks. “It was recognized that there is an urgent need to provide assistance to the civilian population in Gaza and to end the conflict by pursuing a two-state solution,” the Vatican said in a statement. The meeting coincided with the 10th anniversary of the 2015 Comprehensive Agreement between the Holy See and the State of Palestine, which affirmed both parties’ commitment to peace, self-determination, and the special status of Jerusalem as a city …More

We’re the generation that’s never coming back. The generation that walked to school — and walked back home. The generation that actually learned lessons, not just passed tests. The generation that played tag, hide-and-seek, and kickball in the street. That ate powdered milk and begged for “a blessing, Mom! A blessing, Dad!” before heading out the door. We’re the generation that used payphones to make a call — or paper cups tied with string. Tattoos weren’t part of our life plans. We were the kids who ran home before dark, made mud pies, and gave each other wild haircuts in the summer. We traded marbles like they were gold. We licked lollipops till our tongues hurt — then made faces when we hit that sour powder in the middle. We folded paper airplanes, cut out paper dolls, and built our own toys out of nothing. We were the Walkman generation — the VHS tapes, floppy disks, and mixtapes generation. We kept photo albums filled with real pictures and scrapbook clippings. We watched our …More
Pope Leo commented on the Rupnik case: “Judges have been appointed, & processes for justice take a long time. I know it is very difficult for the victims to ask them to be patient. But the Church must respect the rights of all people. The principle of presumption of innocence until proven guilty also is true in the Church. Hopefully this trial that is just beginning will be able to bring some clarity & justice to all those involved.”
Asked on his opinion on what should done with Marko Rupnik’s artwork, Pope Leo XIV says: “Certainly in many places, precisely because of the need to be sensitive to those who have presented cases of being victims, the artwork has been covered up, artwork has been removed from websites. So that issue is certainly something that we're aware of. A new trial has recently begun, judges were appointed and processes for justice take a long time. I know it is very difficult for the victims to ask that they be patient but the Church needs to respect the rights of all people. The principle of innocent until proven guilty is also true in the Church, and hopefully this trial that is just beginning will be able to give some clarity and justice to all those involved.”

St. Louis-Marie de Monfort: "An infallible and unmistakable sign by which we can distinguish a heretic, a man of false doctrine, an enemy of God, from one of God's true friends is that the heretic ... endeavours by word and example, openly or insidiously – sometimes under specious pretexts – to belittle the love and veneration shown to her."
