Catholic Decline in Latin America - Paganism Flourishes

The share of adults identifying as Catholic has declined sharply across much of Latin America over the past decade. The number of people with no religious affiliation has risen, according to a January 21 Pew Research Center report. This marks a shift in a region where more than 90% of people were Catholic around 1900.
The report, Catholicism Has Declined in Latin America Over the Past Decade is based on surveys of more than 6,200 adults in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru conducted in spring 2024. Comparing the results with a similar 2013–14 survey, Pew found that the Catholic share fell by at least 9 percentage points in all six countries.
Today, Catholics make up 46% of adults in Brazil and Chile, 58% in Argentina, 60% in Colombia, and 67% in both Mexico and Peru. A decade ago, all six countries had Catholic majorities of roughly six-in-ten or more adults.

This report from the Pew Research Center is yet another reason for us, as Catholics, to "go all out."

ABOUT PRAYERS & ADORATION

St. John 4: 23-24: “But the hour will come-in fact it is here already when
true worshipers, will worship the Father in spirit and truth:
that is the kind of worshiper the Father wants.
God is Spirit, and those who worship must worship in spirit and truth."
2) St Mathew 6,6: “But when you pray, go to your private room and, when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in that secret place, and your Father who sees all that is done in secret will reward you”.
3) Isaiah 26, 20: “Go into your rooms, my people, shut your doors behind you. Hide yourselves a little while until the wrath has passed”

At Davos, the WEF now promotes less clothes-washing to save the planet – Allah's Willing Executioners

by Monica Showalter
That is it about the greenie jet-setters of World Economic Forum flying in on a plume of carbon compounds, and their urge to make life just a little more solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short for the little guys they claim to know what’s best for?
Not too long ago, the “you will own nothing and you will be happy” guys were promoting the eating of bugs to save the planet — recall that a French company called Innovafeed that was promoted at one of these WEF gatherings that got a lot of attention from the
Washington Post as a bright new wave-of-the-future idea.
Now they’d like us to wash our clothes less often:
See, 70% of CO2 emissions coming from a cotton tshirt come from washing and drying it. Bad tshirts, stop them! And washing clothes puts microfibers into the water system! (Let’s see their video on birth control into the water system, which is actually believed to be giving young men high-pitched voices.) Worse still, washing clothes wears them out, and …

Morning Prayer
Lord, at the beginning of this day,
I come to ask You for health,
strength, peace, and wisdom.
I want to look at the world today
with eyes full of love,
to be patient, understanding,
gentle and prudent;
to see, beyond appearances,
Your children as You Yourself see them,
and thus see only the good in each one.
Close my ears to all slander.
Guard my tongue from all evil.
May my spirit be filled only with blessings.
May I be so kind and joyful,
that all who approach me
may feel Your presence.
Lord, clothe me in Your beauty,
and may I, throughout this day,
reveal You to everyone. Amen.

Denmark Forcibly Sterilized Greenlandic Women - C-Fam

WASHINGTON, D.C. January 23 (C-Fam) Denmark has long advocated for contraception and abortion as ways to empower women. In their own territories, however, Denmark has used contraceptives to abuse and disempower women and girls.
Even as President Donald Trump continues to talk about the U.S. acquiring Greenland, which is controlled by Denmark, many women living there have shared their stories about being forcibly sterilized by Danish health authorities as part of a multi-decade population control program.
A
report was published last September documenting the stories of over 350 women and girls who were given hormonal contraceptive injections or had intrauterine devices (IUDs) inserted without their consent—and in some cases, even without their knowledge.
In addition to the resulting loss of fertility, many women also suffered physical side effects from the IUDs. Amarok Petersen discovered the device had been inserted when she was only thirteen, after seeking medical help for severe …

Archbishop of Detroit appoints new president at historic seminary, continuing replacement of key personnel

Archbishop Edward Weisenburger of Detroit has appointed a new rector and president of Sacred Heart Major Seminary, a priest from the Congregation of the Mission (Vincentians) religious order, who will take on the new role July 1.
Vincentian priest Father Kevin Creagh, who most recently served in Long Island as senior vice president for Mission Integration at Catholic Health, will succeed Father Stephen Burr, the current rector and president of the seminary,
according to the Jan. 13 Detroit archdiocese’s announcement.
“Father Kevin Creagh brings to Sacred Heart Major Seminary his love for priestly formation and lifelong commitment to forming leaders for the Church,” Archbishop Weisenburger said in the announcement. “His extensive experience in seminary leadership, diocesan administration, and Catholic higher education give him the expertise necessary to continue the mission of our historic seminary community.”
He expressed gratitude to Fr. Creagh for accepting the appointment and for …

FSSPX Bishop Celebrates Mass in a Diocesan Church: Bishop Bernard Fellay (FSSPX) celebrated a Mass in the Roman Rite in a church of the Diocese of Orlando, Florida. The photos were published by Gerónimo María on X.com. However, the claim that a priest from the diocese served as deacon is disputed; it appears instead to have been Father Ezequiel Rubio of the Priestly Fraternity in South America. The occasion for the Mass was the sacrament of Confirmation. This also occurred about two years ago, when Bishop Tissier celebrated Mass in the same church, likewise with permission from the diocese.

Gerónimo María published on X.com: "We've had an SSPX bishop, Bishop Fellay, able to celebrate a Pontifical TLM in a church of the Diocese of Orlando, on the occasion of the confirmation of members of St. Thomas More, an SSPX church in Sanford. This already happened about two years ago, with Bishop Tissier doing the same thing in the same church."

the Word was with God
And the Word was God”.

the flesh has nothing to offer,

7) Hebrew 4,12: “The word of God is something alive and active: it cuts like any double-edged sword but more finely: it can slip through the place where the soul is divided from the spirit, or joints from the marrow; it can judge the secret emotions and thoughts. No created thing can hide from him; everything is …More
