Former Irish president claims infant baptism violates ‘children’s rights’ – Allah's Willing Executioners
The former president of Ireland claimed that infant baptism violates children’s human rights.
The Irish Times published an excerpt from a recent talk by Mary McAleese at University College Cork (UCC), in which the heterodox Catholic made her case against infant baptism.
“Throughout the world, there continues a long-standing, systemic and overlooked severe restriction on children’s rights with regard to religion,” the former president of Ireland wrote.
“It restricts children’s rights as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948 and United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in 1989, to which both Ireland and the Holy See – which governs the Catholic Church and is effectively the author of canon law – are State Parties.”
McAleese, who was president of Ireland from 1997 to 2011, argued that children are restricted in their religious freedom by infant baptism, to which they cannot personally consent, and through which they become “a member …medforth.biz

Bishop Fernando Rifan to Remain in Office Until 2027
The governance of Bishop Fernando Arêas Rifan, 75, of the Old Rite Apostolic Administration in Campos, Brazil, has been extended until spring 2027. He announced the extension in a pastoral letter published on January 11 on AdApostolica.org.
Monsignor Rifan recalled his meetings with Leo XIV in the autumn.
On 15 November 2025, he was received in private audience by Leo XIV, to whom he presented his resignation and the situation of the Apostolic Administration.
Leo XIV asked whether Bishop Rifan also celebrates the Novus Ordo. “I told him that in our churches we celebrate the ancient rite, but that when invited I concelebrate with our diocesan bishop, Bishop Roberto Paz, using the current rite, and likewise when I or our priests, when invited, celebrate Mass in the churches of the dioceses, we celebrate the Mass in the current form.”
Bishop Rifan on Leo XIV’s reaction: “He showed himself satisfied.”
On 17 November, Monsignor Rifan was received at the Dicastery for Bishops. There, he …More

What a beautiful and kind smile! Prevost is so photogenic, darling of the camera and stage. We should call him "a smiling Pope", just like his predecessor and master was "a breath of fresh air" and "sooo humble".

In the 1970s, the number of homeschoolers was roughly 13,000. By the 1980s, this figure had grown to 200,000, and by the 1990s, it reached 850,000. Fast forward to today, and there are now over five million homeschoolers, with the trend continuing to climb. People are finally waking up to the true nature of the government indoctrination camps euphemistically referred to as "schools".
Anybody experience with the Book of centuries of Anglican Charlotte Mason? It looks good to me but not tried yet.
This is a very encouraging movement.
US launches 'large-scale strikes' against ISIS in Syria: US Central Command
nytimes.com/…10/us/politics/us-strikes-islamic- …
The U.S. military conducted airstrikes against Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria, according to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces. CENTCOM said they, as well as partner forces, conducted "large-scale strikes" against multiple ISIS targets across Syria on Saturday as part of Operation Hawkeye Strike. "The strikes today targeted ISIS throughout Syria as part of our ongoing commitment to root out Islamic terrorism against our warfighters, prevent future attacks, and protect American and partner forces in the region. U.S. and coalition forces remain resolute in pursuing terrorists who seek to harm the United States," CENTCOM announced on X. "Our message remains strong: if you harm our warfighters, we will find you and kill you anywhere in the world, no matter how hard you try to evade justice," according to the post." The attack comes just weeks after two Iowa National …More

Italian MP Defends Former Papal Master of Ceremonies
Public support for Monsignor Marco Agostini, the former Master of Papal Ceremonies, has emerged in Italy. He was dismissed after an audio recording was circulated in which he was allegedly heard using offensive language about members of the Roman Curia. While a microphone was unintentionally left on ahead of a Christmas greeting, he reportedly said that they are all "assholes" and "faggots".
On 4 January, VeronaNews.net reported that Vito Comencini (Popolo Veneto), a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, had issued a public letter expressing solidarity with the prelate.
Comencini considers the dismissal 'unjust and foolish', adding that it represents a 'worrying sign of persecution'.
Neither the audio nor the dismissal has been accompanied by an official explanation from Vatican authorities.
The Italian politician is aware that Monsignor Agostini had been 'targeted for some time' and claims that the alleged interception merely served as justification for his removal.

The operation to kidnap Maduro didn't start on January 3rd. It didn't even start in 2025. It began five years ago with a phone call, a betrayal, and $50 million in cash.

January 3rd 2026 2:47 in the morning. A CH-47 Chinook tears through Venezuelan airspace at 180 miles per hour. Inside, Nicolás Maduro sits zip-tied, blindfolded, wearing nothing but silk pajamas. Twelve Delta Force operators surround him. His wife, Cilia Flores, screams in Spanish beside him. In exactly 43 minutes, the most wanted narco-terrorist in the western hemisphere will land on American soil. In six hours, he'll be in a federal courtroom. But here's what nobody's asking, "How did the United States pull off the impossible? How do you kidnap a sitting president from inside his own palace, protected by Russian S-400 missiles, Cuban intelligence, and 50000 loyal troops?".

Fr. Gerald Murray: "I'll say this again... No bishop can prohibit Ad Orientem celebration of the Mass in his diocese beyond his powers, because it is foreseen in the Roman Missal, and the Dicastery of Divine Worship has affirmed in private correspondence in the past that this remains a legitimate way to celebrate Mass. Sad to say, many bishops ignore it, and they won't like it to hear it said, but there and by, why in the world would you want to prohibit what was done for 1300 years or more?"
When the Novus Ordo came out, it stated (for the Orate Frates) the priest TURNS to the congregation, meaning that it was taken for granted the priest was celebrating the Mass AD ORIENTEM.
It was taught in theology schools since Vatican II that the bishop is the "chief liturgist" in his diocese. Usually a task he performed with the consultation of some professional liturgist [mostly female]. Hence the reason why the N.O. Mass is different from diocese to diocese.
Yesterday I finished my lesson about five minutes early and told my students they could just sit and talk to each other until the bell.
Almost immediately, a handful of phones came out.
I stopped them.
“No phones today. I want you to actually talk to each other.”
There was a unified sigh of annoyance… and then something both beautiful and unsettling happened.
Within a few minutes, a few desks came to life — kids were looking one another in the eye, asking questions, laughing, building real conversations. It was genuinely heartwarming to watch.
But many of them froze.
They didn’t know what to do without a screen delivering entertainment. Some lowered their heads. Some stared at their hands. Some avoided eye contact completely.
I walked over and tried to help them get a conversation going. A few could force out a sentence or two — most had no idea where to start.
I’m sharing this not as a complaint, but as a warning shot for parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches — anyone raising …More

People have very short memories. The 24 hour news cycle makes last month's headlines out-of-date. That's why we never learn any lessons from history. For example: all the scandals of Francis/Leo are merely a rehash of the post-Vatican II period of the 70s & 80s. That's why I marvel at people losing their minds over it. I already lived through it once AND survived. Keep the Faith!

“Church of Benedict XVI Doesn’t Exist Anymore” - Cardinal Müller
Leo XIV’s setting of the consistory is “not normative”, Cardinal Gerhard Müller told TheCatholicHerald.com (January 11): “This is a method of the synods, and I think it’s helping the Pope not as Bishop of Rome but as a diocesan bishop.”
Cardinal Müller sought to dispel what he described as a false dichotomy in the Church’s internal debates. “The Church of Benedict XVI doesn’t exist anymore.”

@Boanerges Boanerges You are absolutely correct!
—We can complain til the cows come home but nothing will change for the better. It is a near certainty that things will only get worse.
—Jesus Christ created only one Church (now known as the Roman Catholic Church). Moreover, He established only one set of “truths” and commanded the appointed leaders of His Church to teach those “truths,” exclusively, to “all nations.” Those “truths” are the teachings, practices and beliefs of the Catholic religion.
—The Second Vatican Council created a counterfeit religion (which faithful Catholics call the “Conciliar” religion). All post-Vatican II popes, bishops and priests follow and promote some or all of the many false teachings contained in the Conciliar religion.
—Each and every one of those men of the Conciliar religion who have been responsible for leading unwitting Catholics away from the authentic teachings of the Catholic religion (many to perdition) will one day answer to Jesus Christ …More
"When one of you says, I am for Paul, and another, I am for Apollos, are not these human thoughts? Why, what is Apollos, what is Paul?"1st Corinthians 3:4. Jesus Christ is the head of His Church. The pope should be his "vicar" - a servant of the servants of God who protests the Deposit of Faith. If a man fails in that, woe to him. It would have been better if he hadn't been born!
