Laila Cunningham/Image: @policylaila/X President Donald Trump has warned about the reality of unfettered migration into Europe. In September, during remarks at the United Nations, Trump warned, “Illegal aliens are pouring into Europe, and nobody is doing anything to change it, to get them out. It’s not sustainable, and because they choose to be politically correct, they’re doing just absolutely nothing about it.” He further called out the “terrible” Mayor of London for ushering in the mass invasion of Islamists and the potential for Sharia Law. He declared, “It’s time to end the failed experiment of open borders.” Laila Cunningham, a councillor for the Lancaster Gate ward on Westminster City Council, ripped the government for failing to protect women and girls from sexual predators being imported into the country. “We’ve let in thousands of men that we have no idea of their history,” she said in an interview with LBC. “They could be serial rapists in Ethiopia. On 30 November, Cardinal Reinhard Marx consecrated the new table altar in the parish church of Maria Schutz in Munich-Pasing. The church’s sanctuary had been completely redesigned. The new altar table and the matching ambo are made of light-colored artificial stone and feature a wavy form. According to the artist, the wave-like contours are intended to echo the protective folds of Mary’s mantle. Round forms and circles are commonly used in various pagan religions.

He insisted that this was nonsense. However, Bishop Kohlgraf admitted that he wants to reinterpret what it means to be Catholic today. He wants to adopt an open attitude and be ready for dialogue. Bishop Kohlgraf refuses to define Catholicism as "an unchanging truth that must be proclaimed at all times, regardless of current issues and developments". Furthermore, he rejected an understanding of Catholic identity that is defined by demarcation. For him, being Catholic is not about "slamming others with doctrines and moral teachings as if throwing a rag at them", but rather striving to understand others and their experiences. He believes in a proclamation that is dialogical and considers the "real-life situations" people face. "For me, being Catholic also means reckoning with …More

This evening, Pope Leo XIV participated in a niche interreligious gathering organised by the Sant’Egido Community at the Colosseum. At the beginning, Andrea Riccardi emphasised that “the Spirit of Assisi still blows”. Representatives of various religions were present, including Christian sects, as well as representatives of Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and other faiths. Together, they lit small candles. Leo XIV held a speech praising the false religions and spiritualties. His key points were: - We have prayed for peace according to our diverse religious traditions. - This is our witness: offering the immense treasures of ancient spiritualities to contemporary humanity. - On 27 October 1986, Saint John Paul IIinvited religious leaders from around the world to Assisi to pray for peace. This historic event marked a turning point in interfaith relations. - We embrace the challenge of Assisi and the awareness of our shared task and responsibility for peace. - For the Catholic Church …More
