When nuns must approach the courts to protect the unborn, well-formed Catholics engaged in the political and legal process become essential allies. This recent case shows why informed civic participation is not optional, it is a concrete way to advance the Culture of Life. As St. Augustine wrote in The City of God, the heavenly city, while a pilgrim on earth, “calls forth citizens from all peoples” and makes use of the earthly city’s laws and institutions to help secure the peace needed for its mission. Conservative US bishop calls FSSPX just another Protestant sect: In a YouTube video posted on 13 July, conservative Bishop Thomas Paprocki of Springfield in Illinois, USA, said that the main problem with the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X is their defiance of papal authority. 'By disobeying the Pope and rejecting the teachings of the Second Vatican Council, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X has essentially become another Protestant sect that believes it is right and the Pope is wrong.' Monsignor Paprocki also noted that, while there are currently 53,000 Christian denominations, Christ founded only one Church.

Modern NFP intentionally plans sterile marital relations, calculating and hoping to "waste seed" in infertile soil. Light Inside Monstrance for Artistic Effect A Madrid sacristan told Betania TV on July 15 that a priest used a light behind - or allegedly in place of - the consecrated Host during Eucharistic Adoration to create a more artistic visual effect. The sacristan said he was instructed to tape the light directly to the holder of the Host because placing it outside the glass did not produce the desired effect. He also urged priests not to "use Christ" for emotional effect.
