First it was colon cancer - because he was heard letting out a loud fart perhaps? Now it’s Gonarthrosis (a term not used in the medical world since the Victorian era - or perhaps Galen) which says nothing. Who makes up these stories? Any decent lower limb orthopaedic surgeon would say to a fat old man that surgery is not going to resolve worn out joints if there’s not a concerted effort at weight loss. Arthroplasty or hemi arthroplasty is not considered for obese worn out joints. It doesn’t work.
