Catholic Archbishop: No Guns in My Churches

In his column, Gregory said that "churches and other places of worship are intended to be sanctuaries – holy sites where people come to pray and to worship God."

They make a mockery of One True Church established by Jesus Christ.

Pope John Paul II was no saint (Victims of clerical sexual abuse)

This seems to be an accurate news story from a well known internet news site in which victims of Catholic Sexual abuse are commenting.
What would you say to those victims who suffered during the pontificate of JP-II? Would you tell them to just "get over their trauma" and celebrate his canonization? Or, would you tell them that JP-II did everything humanly possible to rid the Catholic Church from pedophile priests and their enablers in the episcopate who reassigned them to other dioceses?
