Daily Rosary: Kidnapped Girl Found Alive After Three Years

In August 2014, terrorists of Daesh (ISIS) kidnapped the three-year-old Christina from the arms of her mother in Bakhdida, Northern Iraq. Since then her father, Khouder Ezzo, prayed every day the rosary asking for her return.

This day came on June 10, when the now six-year-old Christina was restored to her family, the Syrian Catholic priest, Father Ignatius Oggy, told Aid to the Church In Need. He calls this a “divine miracle”.

Christina was found by a Muslim family near a mosque in Mossul. The family took care of her, in order to return her after the war.

Thank you, en.news, for this joyful story. I took a look on-line and it is hard to glean more than one warring group beating out another warring group. Somewhere in the middle, this family and faith community celebrates.
