Vatican Denies Rumours About Benedict Having A Mild Stroke

Father Stone reported (Twitter, June 17) that Pope Benedict XVI suffered a mild ischemia stroke but deleted the news later.

The Vatican Press Office told Edward Pentin that rumors about the stroke are false. Archbishop Georg Gänswein described the rumors as “fake news.”

It is a common Vatican procedure to deny any reports about health problems of prominent prelates like recently in the case of Benedict's brother.
