Russian Patriarch Doubts Constantinople Patriarch's "Sound Mind"

Constantinople's decision to cancel the 1686 decree which transferred the Kiev Metropolitanate to Moscow can not have been taken in a sane mind, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia said in Moscow according to Interfax (December 27).

Resuming the results of the Supreme Moscow Church Council, he said that it would equally be strange to abolish the act of independence of the United States.

"Everyone will laugh at it," Kyrill said stressing that Constantinople decided to perform "a caricature story" and "it looks like a tragedy and comedy together."
