Archbishop Becciu Defends Pope Francis

The word “parrhesia” (speaking openly) was brought back by Pope Francis according to Archbishop Giovanni Becciu, the second man in the Vatican Secretary of State.

Talking at a November book presentation in Rome, Becciu claimed that one does not take any risks with Francis by being sincere. This seems to contradict the facts as Francis is known to eliminate people on the mere suspicion that they do not agree with him.

Becciu added that "it hurts me to hear people saying that the Pope is heretic.” He believes that this accusation is “disproportionate and out of place".
