Not Surprising: German Protestant Decline Outpaces Catholics - why?

The decline of German Protestants outpaces the Catholic decline by far, Pew Research Center has found.

Since 1950, German Protestants lost more than half of their numbers while Catholics dipped from 37% to 31%. Catholics are more likely to stick to their beliefs than Protestants.

Already years ago, the Protestants implemented those controversial "reforms" wanted by Pope Francis and the German bishops in order to make the Church “ready for the future” [collapse].

The backbone of the German Catholics is those who were educated before Second Vatican Council with strong beliefs and a clear religious identity. For them, the teaching about salvation makes a formal involvement in Church more significant as compared to Protestants or Novus-Ordo-Catholics who usually embrace religious indifferentism.

Practicing Catholics are much more likely than Protestants to oppose religious minorities (mainly Islam) and mass-immigration.

This picture is of a protestant worship service but it's impossible to distinguish it from most Novus Ordo churches.

'course you can, Steve. : 😁 Do you see any felt banners, huh? Y'know, the kind that say something like... "We are all one race, one faith." No?
How about a long-haired, studded-leather, rock-band combo providing the "sacred" music? I don't.

How about a long-haired, studded-leather, rock-band combo providing the "sacred" music? I don't.

The stained glass windows look very traditional, too, no abstract color-swatches, and probably show edifyingly devout moments in Protestant history: Martin Luther tearing out books from The Holy Bible, that sort of thing.

The celebrants of this parody of The Mass, to their credit, are dressed in a suitably somber and reverential manner. No tie-dyed liturgical vestments or stoles hand woven by Mayan peasants.

How about puppets? No puppet shows for the kiddies, like the Mass Papa Fransico famously officiated. That's always a give-away what you're looking at.

About the only place where Martin Luther's wayward sheep keep pace with the Novus Ordo is when it comes to ah, "liturgical dance" and predominantly only in select churches in the American South.

Obviously these German Protestants are more tradition-minded, *cough* excuse me, "rigid and inflexible" to borrow the terms from our current Pontiff.
