"Francis Wants Dialogue With Everybody Except With His Own Cardinals"

On June 22nd the vaticanista Edward Pentin explained on EWTN that Pope Francis does not answer the Dubia of the four Cardinals, because he “wants this ambiguity” about communion for adulterers and envisions casuistic decisions.

He further explains that the division in the Church, the conflicting views of bishops’ conferences around the world, are created “by a sort of apostasy”.

For Pentin it is unlikely that the Pope will respond to the Dubia. He finds it ironic that “the Pope does want to dialogue with everybody else but not with his own Cardinals.”
