Mysterious: Despite False Accusations - Faculties Remain Withdrawn

The faculties for public ministry of Father Frank Phillips “will remain withdrawn” and he “will not return as pastor of St John Cantius” neither as Superior of his group, the Canons Regular of St John Cantius in Chicago, USA.

This decision was made by Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago, a defender of selective mercy.

The ruling, made public on cantius.org, remains mysterious as an independent investigation concluded that the accusations of “improper conduct involving adult males” against Phillips were false and that the priests had not violated any civil or canon law.

During last Sunday's homilies in the parish no additional information or explanation why the punishment remains in force, was offered.

What are the prophetic words of H.E. Archbishop Lefebvre to His Holiness Pope Paul VI:
HOLINESS, ALLOW THE EXPERIMENT OF TRADITION!

Now we only could pray for Frank Phillips and his persecutors.
Those who are ROMAN CATHOLIC have to disappear and erased!

Cupich knew from the get-go the allegations were false, but SJC is a thorn in the ultra-progressivist side; a parish that was revived and now flourishes - in the midst of a dead zone - by returning to tradition. Phillips had to go. Guilt or innocence were irrelevant.

God bless Fr. Phillips 😇

I'll tell you EXACTLY why Fr. Phillips is gone forever. He was a very traditional priest (something Cdl. Cupich despises) and he was a great proponent of marriage the way God intended and preached against homosexuality and its evils. THAT'S why he's now GONE FOREVER.
De Profundis
He advanced the restoration of the sacred & founded a new religious order of like-minded men. Thus, "improper conduct with adult men." The words "sexual" & "immoral" never appeared in the Cardinal's public statement back in March.

One speculates this was all a pre-planned process, akin to recent synods, the results a foregone conclusion.

Why can't he return to the Parish?

It would be more transparent if the "Conclusions" on the Fr. Phillips' dossier were to be made public. Parishioners should know what has taken place (even uf details are inappropriate).
