Vatican Grants Further Pre-1962 Permission

The Pontifical Commission “Ecclesia Dei” answered 29 questions about the Old Latin Mass submitted to the Commission by a Polish priest. The reply was written on November 14.

It states that the commonly used Confiteor before Communion is allowed “where it exists”.

It decides that only instituted acolytes, seminarians, religious or clergy may function and be dressed as subdeacons. Laymen may be masters of ceremony and be dressed as such.

The most interesting question concerns a rite of baptismal water before the Vigil of Pentecost. The Commission says that "where it exists" the rites are allowed according to “books earlier than those in force in 1962”.

In February, the Commission allowed the Fraternity of St Peter to use the books for Holy Week of 1953.

Last paragraph isn't entirely correct. Some FSSP parishes got permission to cease use the terrible Bugnini Holy Week.

Something is wrong here "rite of baptismal water before the Vigil of Pentecost."
It's the Easter Vigil not this of Pentecost.
Please correct it
