Pope Francis: Another (Antijudaic) Rant Against "Clericalism" and People Romanticism

2017-01-10, Morning Mass at the Casa Santa Marta Jesus had authority because He served the people. He was close to persons and He was coherent, as opposed to the doctors of the law who considered …

I really feel terrible asking this but does the Pope prepare any of his homilies? It really doesn't sound like it. So many Catholics have to put up with this kind of 70s dribble every Sunday from so many Priests that it is no wonder they lapse. The authority of Jesus comes from the fact that he is the Second Person of the Trinity... closest to the Father's heart....Please Holy Father teach the … 더보기

It's scandalous. Only 3 years ago, who was it who said, "Oh, how I would like a poor Church, and for the poor." He seems to have forgotten this business about a 'poor Church.' In fairness, he's been preoccupied with a campaign of anti-capitalism which ties into radical environmentalism and, of course, the Islamist invasion of Europe.

What's needed is a “Pontifical Committee to Drain the Swamp.” Regrettably, the man in charge doesn't have the stamina, courage, devotion and the intelligence to initiate it.

@Holy Cannoli your link to lavish homes is quite revealing. Wow...

@aderito: He did, but I am afraid that Francis tries to remove the Christian law and to replace it with the law of the world. That's what liberalism amounts to.

Referring to the attitude of the doctors of the law, Francis said: ‘We are the masters, the princes, and we teach you. Not service: we command, you obey.’
Francis noted, that the doctors of the law taught with a clericalist authority: they were far distant from the people, and didn’t live what they preached

@VRS: You are right. Francis is projecting his chaotic leadership into Jesus Christ.

"Jesus, on the other hand, turns it upside down and the people are on top and he that commands is below, and gives commands from below."

I know one person who gives commands "from below", planning to "turn everything upside down". Certainly, I am not talking about Our Lord - Jesus. On the other hand, post-conciliar Titanic seems to hit the modernist "iceberg" repeatedly and persistently - in spite of fact that the iceberg has (for some time) turned upside down rising high above water.
