Profile
Born to the nobility in 2nd century Italy, the younger brother of Saint Faustinus. Deacon. Zealous preacher in Brescia, Milan, Rome, and Naples. Tortured and martyred in the persecutions of Emperor Hadrian.
While their cultus is ancient and widespread, recent scholarship indicates that the story of Jovinus and Faustinus was a pious fiction mistaken for a biography.
