Hannah Marie LaBove, 23, of Groton, beloved daughter of Brandon and Christina (Leonard) LaBove of Mystic, died unexpectedly, Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA while spending time with her family.
Born in New London, CT she attended Mystic schools Northeast Academy, Cutler Middle School and was a graduate of Fitch High School class of 2016. Following high school, she continued her education obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Quinnipiac University in 2020.
Hannah was recently employed at Electric Boat as an Administrative Clerk where she was the backbone of the Security Department’s screening and hiring operations.
She was an intelligent, funny, and vivacious young woman that loved being with her family, her boyfriend, spending time with her lifelong friends, listening to music and watching movies. Hannah’s amazing sense of humor, daily phone calls and texts to her mother and visits to her grandparents will truly be missed.
In addition to her parents, Hannah is survived by her brother, Dylan LaBove; her maternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Leonard of Groton; paternal grandfather, Bobby Gilmore of Fort Worth TX; aunts and uncles, Brad and Jennifer York of Ledyard and Robert Leonard IV and Danielle of Mystic; her boyfriend of many years, Cole Simonds; numerous friends and her cat, Henry.
Funeral services and burial for Hannah will be private.
