Marconi died in the 1930's along with 30 military officers and scientists attempting to develop a microwave weapon for the fascists.
By 1960 the KGB was microwaving the U.S. embassy in Moscow. Three American ambassadors subsequently died.
American corporations and universities have been funded to develop energy weapons since the 1960's. Manipulating behavior is an ominous concern.
Most information on the dangers of microwave technology is in obscure journals.
This book and The Body Electric are rarities.
Well worth reading.

We are living in a time where are the most electrified. But because information that is in this book is NOt put out in the open due to politics, people really think we have “global warming” due to our natural sun. Open your eyes people. They are boiling us slowly.

I first read this book in high school in 1978. Even at my naive level of teenage cultural understanding I knew what red herring, open rhetorical questions, and other semantic and high school debate team false arguments and alarmist statements were; and this book was trying to convey.

This book is not meant to educate but to stir up the fear in luddites and anti-prosperity collectivists as well as people who want to blame their ailments on outside sources.

Since 1977 microwaves have completely bathed our culture. Cell phones transmit at the same wavelength potatoes cook at. And none of the doomsday handwringing disasters this book predicted have arrived.

Scare mongering muck dredging treacle.

I only gave it two stars because it read well. The content is one star.

Written in 1977, even before Robert Becker's mind boggling The Body Electric (1985), The Zapping of America documents the dangers of excess electromagnetic fields in the radio frequency (RF) and microwave bands of the electromagnetic spectrum. That American authorities have continued to ignore this pre1977 data and all that has accumulated in the intervening 36 years, is staggering.
Brodeur documents how the misleading "safe" exposure standards currently in use were based on minimal evidence, a lot of guess work and an "don't tell me" attitude. Because the restriction of RF and microwave exposure would have inhibited military applications (like spying), the government and military conspired to hide research revealing dangers of excess exposure known as early as the 1940s. This gross irresponsibility on the part of government and industry has allowed the incredible proliferation of devices operating in the microwave band like cell phones, wifi and smart meters. While cell phones can be lifesaving in an emergency, there is no need for nearly the entire population of the US to have high powered mini computers (smart phones) plastered to their ears, to have even elementary schools blanketed with wifi, or to use wireless inside the home or office.
The privacy consequences are that we are allowing ourselves to be spied upon (Edward Snowden anyone?) by government and industry. This is creating a police state that will ensnare many innocent people as the political machine seeks to cull its opponents from society.
The health consequences of the excessive exposure will continue to mount, with rising rates of cancer, autism (don't believe the naysayers on this one), dementia etc.. Educate yourself and others now, so you recognize another true cause of failing health, because you and your doctors will be long dead before the medical establishment accepts any of this. Read Dirty Electricity by Samuel Milham MD MPH, watch Youtube videos by Magda Havas and Dietrich Klinghardt MD for example. Go to [...] for useful information that may save you or your children. The world has become an impossible place, and perhaps the knowledgeable can only watch as millions die and are disabled from what Brodeur and others warned us about for so many years

This book turned my whole world concept on my ear back in the 1970's. The times may have changed but the scenario and players really haven't. I came from the the peace and "we shall over come" generation and have arrived to the s***t its "too late now " realisation. Brodeurs book is as relevant as the day it was written. The deceptions, crimes, atrocities, fraud may be somewhat different but those responsible are not. .
