Blessed Marin Shkurti
Profile
Ordained a priest of the archdiocese of Shkodrë-Pult, Albania in the cathedral of Shkodra, by Monsignor Çoba on 8 December 1961. When Communist authorities closed all the churches, he began ministering to covert Catholics in various towns. He fled to Yugoslavia to escape the persecution, but the authorities there handed him back to the Albanians. Martyr.
