Sacred Icon Retreats

Icon retreats offer a truly profound spiritual discipline that delves into the depths of our souls. It is the pursuit of spirituality and the recognition of our work as a sacred act of prayer.

Those who create sacred art are caught between individual expressions of our deepest insights and the audience for whom we are creating the work. Visual translations of mystical thoughts and doctrines  are both changing this ancient art form of icon painting. As we design new icons, it is good to remember the roots of the practice.
Mary Jane Miller, a respected iconographer, author, and teacher.

Through iconography, we embark on a transformative journey, connecting with the divine and channeling our innermost thoughts and emotions onto the canvas. It is a sacred dance between the artist and the divine, a harmonious symphony of colors and symbols that speaks volumes without uttering a single word. As we immerse ourselves in this sacred art form, we discover a profound sense of purpose and fulfillment, for iconography is not merely a skill to be mastered, but a spiritual calling that beckons us to explore the depths of our souls.
