(LifeSiteNews) — On this week’s Faith & Reason, the panel reacts to Fox News commentators silencing a “bigot” guest for correctly stating that homosexual orgies spread monkeypox, the scandal of Pope Francis’ participation in a pagan ritual during his Canada visit, and the continuing crackdown on the Latin Mass.

A few weekends ago, the host of a Fox News program and two commentators piled on American Majority CEO Ned Ryun for saying, “As for monkeypox, I think there’s a pretty good rule in life: Don’t attend gay orgies.” Host Kennedy Montgomery and liberal commentator Marie Harf both referred to Ryun’s comment as “bigoted,” and openly homosexual “libertarian conservative” Brad Polumbo asked, “How about any orgies, Ned?”

Ryun’s point, however, was grounded in an undeniable truth: that homosexual behavior is almost exclusively responsible for the spread of monkeypox, as the World Health Organization and many media outlets have had to admit.

“That just shows you that Fox News is not what we think it [is], or might have been. It certainly isn’t now a speaker of truth, an open forum where you can speak even a difference of opinion without being labeled as a bigot,” Father James Altman said. “Even that guy [Polumbo] had the decency to admit that what he said was true. These women are calling out the truth speaker as a bigot. Truth is not bigotry. Truth is truth, and we ought to be allowed to speak it without fear of being canceled or ridiculed like this poor guy [Ryun] was.”

John-Henry Westen then piggybacked off Father Altman, adding that the discouragement of homosexual behavior is an act of love. In fact, it is hateful to not discourage homosexuality if you know it to be intrinsically evil.

“It always reminds me of that statement from that very big atheist, Penn Jillette, who said, ‘If you believe that there’s a heaven or hell, and you’re not willing to tell people that because it’s socially awkward, how much do you have to hate somebody not to proselytize?'” John-Henry said.

“[Homosexuality] is such a sacred cow that you’re willing to hate those men and women engaged in such behaviors so much that you’re not going to tell them that it’s harmful, even when it’s so obvious that it is unbelievable,” he added.
