Baptized at the age of one day, Antonio grew up with a call to religious life. He joined the Salesians of Don Bosco in Seville, Spain, and made his profession as a coadjutor lay brother on 8 December 1909. He taught in several colleges, working in Santander, Spain at the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War. He tried hiding with family in Bilbao, Spain, but anti–Christian militia found him, dragged him out of the house, and shot him on the spot. Martyr.
