Profile
Son of a horn maker. Studied for the priesthood at Rheims, France and the English College in Rome, Italy. Ordained on 7 December 1586, he return to England to minister to covert Catholics during the
persecutions of Queen Elizabeth I. Arrested on 2 November 1591 at the home of Saint Swithun Wells in Gray’s Inn Fields while Saint Edmund Gennings was celebrating Mass. Executed for the crime of being a priest. Martyr.
