We have no information about his birth parents, but know that Francesco was adopted, and used the name of his adoptive parents. He studied in the seminary of the diocese of Urgell, Spain and was ordained a priest on 21 December 1889. He served as coadjutor in various parishes, and as parish priest of Vilanova de La Aguda and Tiurana. He was arrested on 21 July 1936 in the persecutions of the Spanish Civil War, lodged in Linola prison, and tortured for several days. He was released on 31 July, but seized again on 13 August and murdered. Martyr.
