The son of Francesco Araguas e Carmen Guardia, Pascual grew up in a pious, very poor family. He entered the junior seminary at age 13, and was ordained a priest in the diocese of Urgell, Spain in 3 April 1923. He served as co-adjutor and parish priest in several town. Martyred in the Spanish Civil War.
