A lifelong lay woman in the archdiocese of Valencia, Spain, she was baptized age the age of two days, was confirmed on 20 October 1905, and made her first Communion on 21 April 1912. She was educated in convent schools, and was a member of the Confraternity of Saint Vincent de Paul. Because of her constant Catholic social work, she was early a target of the antiChristian forces of the Spanish Civil War. A couple of months into the war she was imprisoned, repeatedly fought off the Communist militiamen who tried to rape her, and was eventually murdered. Martyr.
